Welcome to the PRO, Columbia Basin Railroad Excursion, April 26-28, 2024
Pacific Railcar Operators is pleased to announce a two-day spring excursion on the Columbia Basin Railroad in central WA, on the former Northern Pacific and Milwaukee lines. Set on will be at the Railroad Way & Ash Ave crossing at Warden, WA on Friday April 26th 2:00 – 5:00 pm and Saturday April 27th 6:30am-7:30am. Do not set on until paperwork is verified by the E.C. or his assistant, and all passengers have signed the General Release. Operator insurance, Operator’s Certificate, Spark Arrestor, Boots and Safety Vest are required. Everyone is required to adhere to Pro General Order # 6.

The run fee is $230 per car, Make checks out to PRO and mail them to excursion coordinator Mike Phelps, P.O. 197 Marlin WA 98832-0197. Please include your current mailing address, phone number and email with your check. Saturday and Sunday safety meetings will be at 8:00 am. All persons and riders must attend the safety meetings. The Saturday trip will leave Warden after the safety meeting. We’ll then proceed to Othello, turn the cars and return to the Warden yard, proceed to Wheeler, Sieler, turn on the wye and have lunch. Then return to Wheeler, Schrage and back to Warden.
Sunday we will leave Warden and proceed to Bruce then Connell and turn, then proceed to the top of the grade and have lunch, then proceed to Bruce and to Warden. Possible additional trip back to Schrage if time permits. 5 minute breakdown rule applies. Both days you will need to bring your lunch as we will not be stopping close to any towns. Total Miles around 200.
PLEASE DON’T FORGET TO BRING AT LEAST TWO OR MORE NON-PERISHABLE CANS OF FOOD TO DONATE TO THE WARDEN FOOD BANK.
There are two grocery stores in Warden and two fuel stations, many in Moses Lake (15 miles) to the north. Obtain your Excursion Participants Registration, General Release (printed on both sides) and your inspection form.

Dry camping is allowed in Warden on Railroad Way next to set on. Please ask for assistance as to where to park.
